If that does not have a practical outcome for both the now and the not yet, I don't know what would.Don Frankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17252758119376534001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8934298301663499561.post-65840355550409398642011-07-28T10:29:02.560-04:002011-07-28T10:29:02.560-04:00Methinks this paragraph has been written with two ...Methinks this paragraph has been written with two broad a brush:

"[Evangelicalism] diminishes the importance of worship, ordained pastors, confessions, and sacraments. How do we make disciples? Going, teaching EVERYTHING Christ commanded (which is the whole Bible, assuming Christ as the Word of God spoke the whole Bible), baptizing.

I agree that worship (formal, gathered worship) is central. But that should flow out into every area of life, so that all of life will be transformed in accord with Scripture.

And I agree that far too many Christians focus on these results (changed culture) rather than on the worship which must be central. Therefore, the transformed culture doesn't last - it might last for a generation or two, but then people turn from it.Rodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05595768384130580254noreply@blogger.com
